Biography

Abdulaziz Almuhaidib is General Director of Innovation & Development at the Ministry of Energy. Prior to that he was the Director of Aramco Research Center in Beijing with a portfolio spanning upstream and downstream research. Abdulaziz started his career with Saudi Aramco in 2004 where he completed several assignments in upstream research, operation, and field development. He held various leadership roles including the Champion of Geophysical Data Acquisition and Chief Technologist of the Geophysics Technology Division at Saudi Aramco Exploration and Petroleum Engineering Advanced Research Center (EXPEC ARC). Abdulaziz holds a B.Sc. from the University of Tulsa, M.Sc. from the University of Texas at Austin, and PhD from MIT, all in Geophysics. He has authored and co-authored numerous articles published in scientific journals and conference papers. Abdulaziz is an alumni of Saudi Aramco Young Leaders Advisory Board (YLAB), and former president of Dhahran Geoscience Society (DGS).
