Lead Lab Scientist, SAUDI ARAMCO

Biography

Lujain R. Alfilfil is a Lead Lab Scientist at Saudi Aramco, joined the company in 2014. Area of proficiency include heterogeneous catalysis, zeolite-based catalyst formulations and characterizations, and crude oil conversion to petrochemicals. Lujain holds a M.Sc. in Theoretical and Computational Chemistry from the University of New Brunswick, Canada. Her master thesis was about VUV double-photoionization and ionic fragmentation of allene and 1,3-butadiene using synchrotron radiation at the Canadian Light Source facility, located at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon. She received her Ph.D. in 2022 from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, Saudi Arabia. Her Ph.D. dissertation was focused on encapsulation of metal particles in zeolite crystals for various catalytic reactions.
