Maria Soliman

SABIC, Netherlands

Biography

Maria studied physics and finished her PhD in polymer physics in 1993. After a Post-Doc on polymer rheology at UMASS in Amherst she started her professional carrier at DSM Research in Geleen, NL in 1995. After a few years she moved to polypropylene product development working on water pipes and polyolefin based automotive compounds. After 2002 she worked for SABIC and moved 2006 to the business unit polypropylene as technical product manager for STAMAX (long glass PP). After a few years also in automotive marketing she moved back to a research environment in 2010 and started new project portfolios amongst others related to advanced polymeric packaging solutions. In 2015 Maria became Research Fellow at SABIC for material science and application development and coordinates since 2020 global technology efforts on circular economy.
