Dr. Mihaela Matache received her Ph.D from University of Bucharest in 2009 in the field of organic synthesis of nitrogen-containing compounds and construction of metal-ion directed supramolecular protein arrays, by collaboration with Technical University of Munich, where she performed several doctoral stages. Further, during a postdoctoral stage in 2010 at TUM, she gained experience in peptide synthesis and preparation of activity-based probes for various enzyme classes. In 2022 she obtained HDR at University Clermont-Auvergne and she is currently a lecturer at the University of Bucharest, Department of Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry and Catalysis and her research interests are in multi-step organic synthesis of various heterocycles or other building blocks useful in supramolecular chemistry, biochemistry and constitutional dynamic chemistry.
