​Dr. Wei Xu is a research science consultant of Saudi Aramco.  Wei works in "Chemicals R&D Division" of Saudi Aramco R&D center.  Wei is currently leading the Chemicals R&D Laboratory of Saudi Aramco R&D Satellite center at KAUST and his main research areas are in catalyst, olefins, polymers and process developments for petrochemical industry.  Wei holds a Ph.D. in Organometallic Chemistry from University of Western Ontario, Canada. Wei has also received a M. Sc. in Organic Synthesis in China in 1988 and another M. Sc. in Inorganic Chemistry from Lakehead University, Canada in 1991.  Wei had worked as a research scientist for Nova Chemicals in Canada and SABIC R&D center at Riyadh prior to joining Saudi Aramco.
