Biography

Dr. Emad Al-Shafei is a scientist specialist in Saudi Aramco Research and Development Center, Dhahran. Emad held a PhD in Chemistry in CO2 utilization catalysis from University of Huddersfield (UK) and his MSc and BSc degrees in Chemistry with Chemical Engineering with the same university. Emad worked in Catalysis Center of Excellences and involved with several research projects related to nano-zeolite catalysts for oil and heavy residues cracking to olefin. He worked with CO2 utilization catalysts development for propane dehydrogenation assisted by CO2, direct reaction of CO2 with C1-C3, dry reforming, CO2 activation using SOFC, CO2 hydrogenation to methane. Emad has 16 publications and 25 granted patents.
