Biography
Chen Luwei received her PhD from National University of Singapore. She is a team leader in the Process & Catalysis Research Division at the Institute of Sustainability for Chemical, Energy and Environment, A*STAR. She is also an adjunct associate professor at the department of materials engineering, National University of Singapore. Her research interests include the development of catalysts/materials for renewable/alternative energy, biomass valorisation, and carbon dioxide capture and utilization. Luwei is active in both academia and industry-related R&D. She has published 9 patents and 78 papers with more than 5,000 citations and an H index of 37. She has worked with several famous engineering and chemical industries since 2000 on catalyst development, catalyst/materials evaluation and characterization. In particular, she has led the catalyst development in a CO2/CO methanation project in collaboration with IHI to the demonstration stage.
